    • Parent Nights 

HERCULES HIGH SCHOOL PARENT TEACHER ORGANIZATION 

The Parent Teacher Organization for Hercules High School was created to support all of its students with the ultimate goal of cultivating opportunities of involvement for students, teachers, and parents to strengthen the school community with a focus on academic excellence. 

HOW

  • Promote communication and awareness with updated information 
    • Sponsor or co-sponsor parent nights to aid in learning and understanding the importance of our high school's: 

      • School Site Council >> what is it? why do we need it? how does it work? 

      • School Plan, known as the SPSA >> what is it? 

      • Local/state/federal regulations and legislation that impact our school 

    • Help strengthen our high school community by: 

      • Engaging our local business resources and other non-profits to develop partnerships

      • Promoting school activities by inviting city officials, businesses, school board members

      • Hosting forums and roundtables (eg, WCCSD School Board Members, Hercules City Council, HEF

    • Fundraise to support our teachers and students 

    • Support the college-going culture

  • YOU make a difference - it also shows your student that school is important

  • Better behavior of students - better social skills, less likely to skip school, less disruptive in class​​
