Youth Development Outreach Worker

Hercules High School Health Center

Reports to: Health Center Manager
Responsibilities:
 

• Facilitate after school and during school programming, including groups but not limited to;  Life Skills, Anti- bullying peer education, youth health workers and young mens groups.

• Assist with the coordination of center programs and events

• Provide front desk assistance to students, staff, and community partners; provide information and referrals, set appointments, student check-ins, order and distribute supplies, and correspondence.

• Support Data Collection and prepare reports utilizing electronic data system

• Provide support for on-site community partners

• Maintain and nurture relationships with students, staff and community partners

• Supervise and delegate tasks to student assistants and interns

• Attend Wellness meetings

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to work with youth of varying cultural, social, and economic background; ability to develop strong relationships and work closely with diverse individuals and organizations; clear, appropriate, and effective professional communication skills; strong problem solving skills and positive work ethic; ability to work independently as well as in a team environment; ability to maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality; ability to prioritize work, organize, and manage time effectively; proficient computer skills required
